My favorit bug on the drag

After years of searching a buddy of cal-look.no send me this picture of the mighty engine from jussi kuplala.World fastest cal look bug in the world .I love this car so much my greatest wish is to see this car by my own eyes in action on the drag.So take a look at pic and video how jussi tuned up this car without any compunction by his rarity.This is my opinion to do this too if i could .Some days when my plan of an own drag racing car ,i will do it like jussi did.Well done what a great car!!!

1.5l more oil in the engine by mounting an add on oil sump

the second part for modifying the engine was to mount an add on oil sump,i also received from tom of wheelerdealer.The installing was a bit dificult witout lifting molly with a car elevator.the item was manufactured very presicely a fits as well under the car.A testdrive next week will show me if the car must be raised in the rear or not.

The Gene Berg licensed Empi EQ Power pulli installed

Today i received some new tuning parts from the wheelerdealer ,here the instalation of a gene berg licensed empi eq power pulli.This part reminds getting square rotation by the crank when it comes down fast from higher rpm with his heavy weight.

The modified torque bar fits very good through the merged header the old one could not been used ,because the new exhaust system needed the place that is was mounted ,the new one is bended over the exhaust system tensed on the right and pillowed on the left with a middle mount for the engine stabilisation.Working well as i took a test drive ,the engine do not hit back when you turn of the gas pedal.

today the was the biblical rain when we want to go to a meeting this year,so Molly and I drove to the Feldbahnmuseum in  frankfurt ,but seen much cars we have not,maybe the rainy weather was guilty.So molly felt ab it sleepish about becoming the main attraction

New ,modify for the oil breath system

A big overflow filter was also needed for Mollys oil ventilation system ,sometimes the oil came out of the oil level plunger ,this was not acceptable of course ,so when i opened the oil Deckel the over pressure was taken away so i knew what molly needed here is my newest modification for this.

Today is mollys birthday

Now molly is a member of our family since 2 years by the day.My friend marcus delivered her on 17.9.2008 to our home ,where she will get a better live with sleeping eyes and a death heart she arrived at 7.00 pm in the evening on the trailer with many spare parts

i started the work on the sheet metal at once ,the same evening,many days of hard work and big problems with renewing parts followed ,the last picture show you the work in the mid oktober 2008,growing up to a princess

painted and motor replaced for about 34 years of death,her heart turned on by 26.10.2008,and she opened her eyes very quick and began to feel stronger everyday.

Ready for a testdrive she took the first roadtrip on 18.12.2008 for 34 years

In april 2009 molly is getting her permission to get legal on the road from the tüv in offenbach ,it was a big problem to get it but we told much to the tüv inspector so he allowed molly her new life on the street.
But soon the lady had not enough lifepower to get a 300km trip with three persons ,so the transmission broke at the differential crank,so the day came that molly wanted all spare parts new,a new transmission a nearly new big block engine took part in her.many problems with teh engine followed ,to fix it it took quiet a year of work and engeneering.she drove to many meetings with us in this two years,spa francochamps and many others ,in desire for seeing her brothers and sisters of the past again ,so the years she became more and more powerful by the day she is working with 151 PS on the dyno .

That is molly today a princess for her own quiet as nice with many new parts ,100 % faithfull to me but also a little goat when she wants new parts and the money is empty.her speciality is to move her oil into the garage bottom all over,but nothing matter about it we love you very much molly,stand tall we with you a long long and healthy life .I do my best for you every time i can my sweet bug.
